Crystalguard [Prototype]
Crystalguard is a tower defense game built around one simple idea: nothing you do happens in isolation. Every crystal you earn defending a wave feeds back into everything else — new turret tech, worker missions, and permanent upgrades that carry across your whole run.
Defend. Place turrets along enemy paths and hold the line across dozens of hand-tuned levels, from early skirmishes to brutal boss waves. Five distinct turret types — from the reliable Gun Turret to the piercing Railgun and the area-denial Stumper — each with their own upgrade paths and unlockable specializations.
Expand. Between fights, send workers out on timed missions to earn resources even while you're away — check back later and collect the rewards.
Research. Spend your crystals on a research tree: turret unlocks, chained upgrades, and economy-wide bonuses that make every future level a little easier.
All three systems share one resource economy, tied together by a hub map where every completed outpost unlocks the next — and some stay replayable if you need to farm crystals for your next big upgrade.
This is an early demo/beta build — more turrets, upgrades, and levels are already planned, but I wanted to get this in front of players first and gather feedback before building further. Bug reports and suggestions are very welcome.

What's the point of a 2.5% range increase? Give me something useful. Also, you forgot to make the turret costs go up after you place each one. You can just spam low-level turrets.
You make a good point, so I'm going to rethink some of the upgrades. I'm also definitely going to implement increasing turret costs, that's a good tip
If you have any other feedback: like if the levels feel too long or short, or if the enemies feel too weak, please let me know.
not really a idle game
Which level unlocks the research trees? I've completed nearly half the game with just the starter turret, hit a wall where I cannot continue, and still have a blank research tree.
Ah, I see—the Research Tree isn't displaying properly. Let me fix that! Running the game in the browser caused some issues.
- Okay the Research is now displayed correctly
